Skin Boosting Treatment

Revitilisation

What is it?

During the ageing process, collagenesis and elastogenesis are diminished and there is an increase in the disorganisation and degradation of dermic fibres and a reduction in glycosaminoglycans. This results in a reduction of elastic, density and resistance of the skin.

Skin boosting treatments are a new concept that promotes a global improvement of the skin through a series of hyaluronic acid injections into the dermis. The objective of this approach is to increase skin hydration, delaying and reversing the ageing process and reducing ageing indicators. It can be used by clients of any age to help hydrate the skin and reduce the onset of ageing.

Skin boosting treatments are indicated to treat and prevent global ageing. Every adult skin can be treated however the prime age is between 30-75 years old. In younger clients it can be used to prevent the onset of the ageing process, maintaining hydration and turgor, before roughness onset. For older clients, it can be used to improve some already established ageing effects, such as laxity, wrinkles, thinning skin, and loss of elasticity in variable intensity. It is a good procedure for those wishing to seek a minimally invasive procedure to improve the appearance of the skin.

This 1 day course will provide the delegates with an extensive insight into the relationship between the science of the skin and the skin boosting treatments.

All students will be provided with hands on practical experience on live cosmetic models and comprehensive theory.

On completion of the course all students will be qualified in both Sunekos and Profhilo skin boosting treatments.

Sunekos

Sunekos 200 is a medical device (class III) presented in sterile, apyrogenic vials containing amino acids (Glycine, L-Proline, L-Leucine, L-Lysine HCL, L-Valine, L-Alanine) and a sterile vial of sodium hyaluronate, and is designed for correcting the signs of ageing and photo-ageing of the face and body.

This exclusive formula containing hyaluronic acid and amino acids helps to regenerate the Extra-Cellular Matrix (ECM) by stimulating the production of new collagen and elastin. This helps to restore the biological functions of the dermis and restore the natural youthful look of the skin.

Due to Sunekos capability to produce a new ECM it is particularly effective in reducing dark eye circles and as it is able to reproduce elastin it can significantly reduce eye bags.

Profhilo

What is Profhilo?

Profhilo is an injectable anti-ageing treatment made from hyaluronic acid for skin that is losing its elasticity and firmness with age. It can be used on the face, neck, décolleté, arms, hands and knees, or any part of your body

where the skin shows visible signs of ageing. There is an immediately noticeable improvement in skin tone, hydration as well as firmness, and lines are minimized.

Hyaluronic acid is best known as a ‘filler’ and is usually used to give volume to lips or to contour other areas of the face. Profhilo differs from the usual fillers in a number of ways due to its structure which allows it to flow

over an extended area to boost hydration and smooth or ‘remodel’ the skin

How does it work?

Profhilo contains one of the highest concentrations of stabilised hyaluronic acid on the market. Because it is thermally bonded and not chemically bonded it acts as a hydrator not a filler. It is injected just underneath the

surface of the skin where it disperses quickly and reacts with your own tissue to instantly boost hydration.

Over the next four weeks phase two kick in as it goes to work boosting elastin and collagen production. This effectively remodels the skin and giving it a plumper, smoother and firmer appearance.

Due to its gel like consistency Profhilo distributes smoothly and evenly without the formation of any lumps – a potential risk with traditional fillers. This means it can be used on areas which are difficult to treat with traditional fillers, such as the neck and forehead.
